just been to a job where rcd main switch for 3 phase db has developed a fault - tripping on load from 2 different circuits - so I need a replacement. HAGER 63 AMP (AT LEAST), 30mA 4 POLE RCD.

they're available online at silly money, which I may have to pay, but one of you may have one lying around and I'd be more than happy to give you £50 for it?

regards, me

Are you 100% sure it's the RCD at fault and not a fault on each of the 2 affected circuits??

well it's tripping on load with the oven, then also with u/f heating.

highly unlikely - but not impossible - that they've both developed an earth fault at the same time.

there's another rcd for a different section of the db - exactly same type, working fine - i'll swap 'em over tomorrow to verify faulty rcd.........or not!

i quickly checked connections, lots of which were loose enough to get several turns on the terminal screws, so will probably be recommending a bit of a once over anyway.

Sounds like it may need it.

Expect to pay around £100 for a new one.
