how do i determine wether a ballast unit is faulty ???

Fit a new one and if it works it was faulty, a bit like how do you know whether to use a screw or a nail to fix 2 bits of wood together, easy use a nail, if the wood splits you should have used a screw

Anyway enough of my crap..............and welcome, are you anywhere near Hitchin, just curious my brother in law lives there and the boozers are great.
