According to another Spark, we dont to put insulating caps on busbar arms inside a comsumer unit as we're the only people going in there. Even in commercial-the person said we should be competent enough not to touch it.

Anyone can have that momentary lapse of concentration, if their provided, fit them.
At the inquest, you’re asked why they weren’t fitted. “Oh everyone knows not to touch the bars so I chucked the shrouds away” is going to go down a bundle!

Did make my blood boil how he tried to make me feel incompetent for doing it. It was an EICR for a shop and i failed it (C2) on that.

I hate the 3 phase DB's that just left the copper gleaming at you when the cover was off. Even though its going to be nasty, I always feel a little urge to reach out and touch it (I'm not suicidal btw!). Probably a good way to go if you are and want the family to get the life insurance paid out mind!
