Wylex 16th ed board. unprotected side and rcd side. Im doing some work on the unprotected side and want to fit rcd.

If i bought a split load kit (rcd and tails), will this come with a neutral bar and can you get the clips to hold it.

yes, i assume one for the unprotected side and the other for rcd side. Am i wrong in thinking i would need a third neutal bar for second rcd. So one neutal bar for mains and two rcd neutrals. and a 2 more neutal bars for each rcds circuits neutrals. robo

agree with malcolm. if you are leaving some circuits as non-RCD you will need 3 N bars, so easier to fit RCBO to your new circuit

I was called to an old ladies house where the kind "registered" electrician scared her out of her wits as she to had a split board and most of the power was on the non RCD side and one of the rings had a N-E fault so mind test your circuits as this is the second time I have come across this because the N-E fault was there well befor the board was changed and whoever changed it clocked the fault and moved it to the non RCD side job done ? Well not really more like job bodged.
Fault now clear and all power is on the RCD .

PS the "registered" electrician was working for a big DIY chain who was putting a new shower in for the old dear he promised to call her back but then she got me in so when things fall off and he calls her back to pick up a wee banker of a joab
