Hi

I have a customer who is splitting a house into 3 flats, there is a 3 phase supply into the building , could anybody tell me who's responsibility it is to fit the meters to each flat? I will be running the cables from each phase to each meter and out to each flat but would like to know who is responsible for connection / meter etc. Sounds a stupid question but its new to me :)

i'd leave the 3 phase DNO meter as is. then fit a single phase meter for each flat. up to the landlord to decide on whether they're prepay or not. then each tenant pays landlord and landlord pays supplier.

for 3 flats, putting each flat on it's own phase would make sense. then each would have a 80/100A supply. time to contact DNO/supplier to enquire about a 3 phase meter.

Contact DNO and get three MPAN numbers. Get supplier to remove existing 3phase meter and fit three single phase meters job done. Why you would want to leave the three phase meter in and let the landlord have the hastle of then dividing the bill between tenants as has been suggested I don't know.

just seen you already have a single phase meter installed so all you need is 2 additional MPANS to go to supplier with to get two additional meters
