Im changing some spot lights to fire rated and have found there wired in T+E do i have to change it to heat proof flex or is there a way around it as customer doesn't want any damage to ceiling and there is a tiled floor above.

I'd go for the Clic Flow connectors, then you can connect the existing T & E in the ceiling then use the heat resistent cable to connect the new lights to the "plug" and then clip them together. Saves some messing around up a ladder with a screw driver.

There are downlighters on the market with the heat resistent cable and click flow ready attached.
