Who makes or supplies square D MCBs I am looking at a 15 yo approx CU or can you use another make

Are they the black bakerlight ones or the grey moulded ones?

Sq D make them, part of Schneider

Qoe is the older
Kq is the later,,
They changed type around 10 years ago.

KQ is a normal looking MCB with an add on to fit the plug in style SqD boards.

I suppose it is where you are, CEF in gloucester stock a few but Edmusons are the main Square D dealer here. the good news is they should be quite easy to get hold of.

May be a DOM type for Quickline, don't know if they are unique to Quickline.


Searching reveals they are normal looking MCB, screw terminal both ends, NOT KQ or QOE.

When i need a old mcb, i always try ebay & 99% of the time get what i want. I needed a square d 6a rcbo not so long ago CEF wanted £155 plus vat. i found one on ebay new for £25.00
