Guys
Any idea where i can reference Zs charts for these MCBs..
Ive searched BRB and OSG to no gain..

There is no BS number on the individual MCBs but the main switch says BS5419..
The MCBs show "type 2"... on the front...?

Im thinking I may have to treat them like a 60898 if i dont find any charts...??

As far as I know these aren't MCB they're just air breaker switches.

Therefore no maximum Z's because the're not an overcurrent device.

Don't know if anyones got for info?

Jim

They may be BS 3871 type 2's.

These are no longer recognised in BS 7671 as they were superseeded by BS 60898's

"BS3871, which specified the miniature circuit breakers Types 1 to 4 was withdrawn in 1994 and has been replaced with BS EN 60898:1991 (EN stands for "European norm"), although it is possible that circuit breakers to the old standard will still be on sale for five years from its withdrawal. In due course, it is intended that only types B, C and D will be available, although it will be many years before the older types cease to be used. Short circuit ratings for the newer types will be a minimum of 3 kA and may be as high as 25 kA - the older types had short circuit ratings which were rarely higher than 9 kA."

They are in the OSG though, Table 2D, page 103.:)

Thanks guys
I'll go with the BS3871
the age of the cu would be about right for this to be an equivalent/alternative name.
