There are no doubt more but my head is fried today and cant think of any.

Ah I have a hiden agenda, I can't remember what we were told so I'm hopping you can all help me.

The only one I can really remember is "All cable sizes are estimates only"
This can be very important if somebody (eg your inspector) comes along and says "why did you allow a 50 amp MCB on a 4mm Cable" -- sorry gov, you can see I thought it was 6mm.

In all honesty I do sometimes have trouble trying to resolve cable sizes eg 4 from 6 or 6 from 10. But then fortunately so did both of the inspectors that inspected me on that occation.

I know exactley what you are saying about cable sizes.

Especially with 4mm2 and the old 2.5 stranded in one install.
