Hi I have been asked to price a big job and I’m not sure if I’m pricing it right any advice would be greatly appreciated. It’s one big house being split into 2 big flats the ground floor is going to be 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms kitchen lounge and a office in Total there is 98 points. Then upstairs is having a loft extension it will be a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom lounge kitchen and office it as 98 points in total I was looking at £50 per point so £9800 dose this sound about right or am I selling myself short.

Lots of variables. What area do you operate in, what are your overheads, what is the specification of the accessories and equipment.
ultimately it depends on if you think £9800 is enough for you a before materials and on costs.
Hi mick just me and my brother started working together we work in east London, client as requested only MK fittings to be used

In London that is dirt cheap, i'd be quoting at least 15 grand and that's being generous. We charged 600 quid to skim out a cupboard under someone's stairs 15 years ago and they commented on how cheap it was. Took us 2 hours.

£14k minimum based on £1k per room imo. I usually do an off the top of my head price based on that figure. If they want fire alarm, door entry emergency lighting, burglar alarm, internet/cat 6, £21k based on £1500 per room.

£9800 you would be the cheapest estimate by a gazzillion miles Mate.
just helped out briefly on a job in London and the going rate now per point is £175-250. I was charging £50 per point in 1999 fella.
so 98 x 200 , might as well call 20,000 grand job
