Stanley knive and craft type knives

hi everyone

A company who i have done work for in the past and the company i now have Banned all forms of stanley knives following a nasty incident with a very bad cut to an operatives leg.

he has recovered ok

i know that ck do an electriicans knife and you can swa ringing type tools but what have any of your gents out there done to overcome stripping swa cable without having to spend 70 plus quid on a ringing tools you may only use once a year in our case for example?

Stanley knifes should not be used for stripping cables, because they are too sharp and can easily nick the copper. We were taught to use cobblers shoe knives, very strong, versatile and last forever. If want to know what they look like do a google image search.

By 'horse' I take it you mean a hobby horse, or a gymnastics horse?
If you stand behind a real horse and pull it's tail it'll most likely kick you into the middle of next week, which is a health & safety risk.
