Started my 2395 course today

Started my 2395 course today and wow does my head hurt now.

Refresher theory all morning and onto the test bays this afternoon didn't think that I taken all that much in at college all those years ago but my it's been painful pulling it back out of my brain all day.

Just finished my home work and now have to revise for my ECS exam tomorrow at 11 whilst still doing the testing and inspection.

Three blokes walked out at tea break this morning after realising they were well out of there depth.

Hi Pavs nice to have you with us

Fist question is:- Why does your head hurt?

A:- Its a lot to take in all at once. We've all been there.

Break it down mate, make it simple.... Whats the incoming earthing arrangement? Is it 3 phase or single phase? What size main fuse? What size tails? From that point its up to you.

The above will give you the foundation to build from. What size iso? What type of building is it and what does it need?

From there it's only circuits (lol). What size mcb or does it need a rcbo? What rating? What size cable? Whats it feeding?

Then the testing. What is the expected resistance of the cable you've installed or testing when doing an R1+R2? Is it correct?

The list is not endless but it does make you think, specially when taking an exam on the matter. Take it step by step, look at the questions and start at the beginning.

Please post up any thing that you need help with understanding. We all need help even when we have passed the exam's. I'm leaning everyday and love it

Passed my 2395 practical today and wow where did the 2 hours go, gone in a flash.

Passed though the bit with the photos at the beginning was different

Written exam tomorrow after 2 months out of the classroom trying to get all the information I learnt to come back to me, revising those old papers.
