Dooby

Go me! Am very excited. Even though I would actually be financially better off serving fries in McDonalds.

I do plan on whining intermittently about pay, terms and conditions, which are bad. Especially the conditions. But I have to think of this as a very temporary stage, a means to an end, coz if I'm on those wages for long I'm gonna end up homeless, seriously.
I'm domestic qualified, will be working in a domestic/commercial site. Want to look at getting my 2394/5 quick as I can at evening class to have a bit of bargaining power, trying to sort that now.

So assuming I'm being paid same as the men, which I have yet to ascertain and have reason to doubt - how long would one usually be on entrance level pay? Or IS there a usual in these situations? Likely to be able to prove myself in 3 months? 6? A year?
I'm aware there may be no fixed answer to this. I just need to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it not to be an oncoming train..

Any length of time spent on entry level wages is down to the person Dooby. If you knuckle down, put out good work and learn quickly you should be rewarded accordingly (emphasis on should)

Yeah cheers, I may have to differentiate in my head between hoping to get to a level where I deserve to be rewarded accordingly - or actually am. I'll be giving it a damn (does everything count as a swear word on here?) good try, desperately want to do well. Can't bear to think all that effort may just be umm micturating up a wall. (seriously, I CANNOT communicate without swearing)
Note to self, do not see actual pay and conditions as accurate reflection of own worth. It would be too depressing.
