Hello,

I recently came across this forum after some research regarding electrical courses. From what I've garnered so far, it's best to stay well away from the short intense 'courses'. I currently work for a trade supplier and have gained a real interest over a long period of time in electrical work. After speaking to quite a few different electricians and even tinkering around at home with a few things it's something that I can see myself potentially doing for work. I'm under no illusions about the self-employed life as my dad owns his own business.

So really what I'm angling for is some pointers and perhaps some advice! I'm currently looking at going back to college part time whilst studying. I'm always looking for apprenticeships but they seem to be a rarity for sure.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

- Don
