Hi Guys,

Ive just been to visit a site to price some works where another sparks left off. I need to do a bit of second fixing but nothing major. The job was started about 1 year ago and i have noticed a couple of things which im not sure if i have to update or not.
1- Boiler supply on kitchen ring

2- Fridge freezer also on kitchen ring

3- fuse boards split load not deul RCD

The job has never had a cert so i will have to do one on completion

Please advise if you can.

Thanks

To start with you cannot issue an installation cert for the work as you did not carry it out.

All you can issue is a PIR, but you need to confirm with your LABC first that they will accept this instead of.

Having said that, you could issue an installation cert, but the install then becomes yours and im not sure i would want to take responsibility of another sparks work.

As for the problems, i cant see any of them being an issue TBH.

I would however consider swapping out the split load CU for a dual RCD.
