State of the electrical market

I'm researching the electrical industry with a view to possibly purchasing a related business e.g. wholesaler, electrical installers etc. I would be grateful on any views on the current state of the market.

Do you see that the industry will recover soon, and to what levels. in the past there has been great demand for electricians do you see this returning or are the boom years over.

Are there any specialist areas that might emerge in the future.

Would be grateful for any comments, feedback or suggestions on where else to look for industry data.

Everyone will need an electrician one day.Once the economy picks up there will be a greater demand for all trades.Probable specialist areas to emerge in the near future is renewable energy.It is being used now,wind,solar and the tide.It will get bigger as all natural resources are consumed

My wholesaler is expected to take in about £100,000 a month. Last month they took in only £20,000. It will pick up again but who knows when?

Last week I didn't have a single job. This week I have a full week of work. It's up and down for me right now.
