Static generator Mccb

Hi guys,
my head has gone blank.
I have a generating set 400v 345a flc what is the max distance the Mccb can be from the generator stator lugs.
i seem to remember 3 mtrs but something in my mind Is telling me it can be greater under certain rules.

Surely the Gen set has its own control and O/L protection built in so it beggars the question as to what you are asking???? - Why are you trying to apply BS7671 to a Gen Kit which will fall under its own standards..... have you got a stand alone generator motor with no controls?
