Street Lamps 70W sons

I've been asked to run a supply for 6 street lamps with a 70W son lamp in each controlled via individual photocells, my query is at the mains end where I am also required to fit a Sangamo timer to turn them off at 1am, would I need a contactor to switch the load?

I dont think it would be necessary but any advice would be taken on board.

with sons, it's always good practice to use a contactor. that lessens the start up load on the timer contacts.

yea possibly personal I prefer one control rather than individuals as when testing full street ie "theres a light out in telextric street!" I would need to cover every photocell OK when its 70s on 4mtr cols not so easy with 12mtr cols and 60mph rd
There was a vision years ago where councils did individual P/Cs but shyed away due to testing

Thanks guys, the heads have individual p/c's that's how they came and they want to keep them. Contactor will be fitted and 5a C type mcb or should that be a rcbo .?

that ones been debated IMO RCBOs could cause problems due to rampness caused by condensation within the poles
