Evening guys, relatively new to pv and just finding out info from as many installers as possible.

Would you use more than 1 string wherever possible for potential shading issues or just keep to 1?

whats you best advice/tips on stringing sequences?

All feedback appreciated

Cheers

Multi string doesn't actually reduce line losses, it could increase them, as you have a greater length of wiring, though that isn't usually a good enough reason for not doing it.

So why multiple strings?
Top 6 in no particular order:
1) Inverter Operating Parameter range (Meeting the upper and lower voltage characteristics and the current characterisitics of the mpp tracker(s) )
2) Orientation Different Between Panels
3) Inclination Different Between Panels
4) Azimuth Different Between Panels
5) When you have different types or sizes of panels in the same installation.
(All panels in the same string should be of the same orientation, inclination, azimuth, output and model number)
6) Shading
