Hey guys, basically this is my situation,
I currently work as an electricians mate for a contractor, very nice bloke. I have finished my Level 2 2365 this year and going on to level 3 next year. Its just i thought why not do it as an apprenticeship so I can say i have done an apprenticeship. However i asked the bloke and being honest he said i may not have the work for the whole year.
Would the contractor get like a grant or something for taking me on?
So do they do like one year or two year apprenticeships?
Also do you get like a different qualification if you do an apprenticeship?
I have learnt most things off them in the commercial area as they do office refurbishments and massive houses. have all my tools etc
Just dunno what to do?
i could always continue as a mate and just do one day a week at college like this year but who would be flexible with me like that as the guy im with now is flexible.
thanks in advance for any advice
P.S. I am 17 going on to 18
