Probably a silly question... Just wondered what the difference is between insulated and acoustic insulated flexi duct?

Insulated duct can be rigid/semi or flex and is usually wrapped In insulation with an aluminium foil cover over it.
Acoustic is semi rigid and is perforated to reduce the turbulence and thus the noise within the ventilation system. It's also usually insulated a well

Cheers guys, I had guessed it was to do with sound! Was trying to suss if the insulation was different between the 2, I.e sound proofing on one and thermal on the other.
