we had a sales rep in today to demonstrate their gear
I was just coming back onto the floor from a call.
just in the middle of him using a megger on a conveyor motor
he couldnt understand why he got strange readings
as soon as he finished the test i took him over to the control panel and gave him a view of the vfd he'd just burned out
the twit didn't open the disconnect between the motor and vfd ( the instructions were in the meggers manual to disconnect any electronics from the circuit before testing the conductors)
it seems to me that these people cause more damage because they aren't trained (sounds like a Electrical Trainee wannabe)
