So we are being subcontracted by another company. They are not MCS Accredited so we will be doing the installation and all paperwork involved.

I've been on the phone to NIC and RECC to try and find out what standards there is to follow and it turns out there needs to be a document signed by the customer that says we are subcontractors and we will follow all MCS standards and have tested the system under all requirements.

Does anyone have an example of something like this? A template maybe?

It would be a massive help! It's not something I have dealt with before, we usually do everything in house.

Thanks a lot

Natasha

Sorry Natasha, you'll have to start from the beginning and explain what is going on.. Calmly please..
1) Has another company that is NOT MCS accredited already secured a contract to install PV and asked you to do it?
2) Has another company that is MCS accredited already secured a contract to install PV and asked you to do it?
3) Has another company that is RECC regsitered already secured a contract to install PV and asked you to do it?
4) Has another company that is NOT RECC regsitered already secured a contract to install PV and asked you to do it?
5) Have I missed the plot completely ...

According to RECC guidelines:

Any Renewable Energy Consumer Code member who enters into a contract with a domestic consumer for the sale and installation of a small-scale heat or power generating system must be certified to the relevant MCS installer standards.

Renewable Energy Consumer Code members must be certified, or be working towards certification, to the relevant MCS installer standards. Any Renewable Energy member that has not achieved certification to the relevant MCS installer standards within six months of joining the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, and that has not provided a valid explanation for not having done so, will have their membership terminated and the balance of their fee refunded.
If a Renewable Energy Consumer Code member obtains sales leads from any third party, the member must require that the third party complies with all the relevant requirements of the Code and the relevant MCS standards. The Renewable Energy Consumer Code member will be responsible for any non-compliance with the Code by the third party.
