Hey guys, has anyone got the correct name for this cable?
Very flexible, black.
I have see it where i work, regularly but wonder what its proper name is? Super flexible stuff that can have quite large core sizes.
I`ve Seen, 3 core(2P + CPC) , 4 core(3P + CPC), 7 core(6P + 2CPC) This was 95mm2 cores i think, think it was shielded aswell. Just as much info for you guys as possible! :)
Just a question cheers! :)

If this is for a long term submersible application PE (Polyethylene, Polythene) insulated cable would be a better choice than PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber), but this would be at the expense of flexibility.

on most of our borehole pumps, and indeed most sump pumps ect ive worked on, they usually use ho7 rubber cable, and in the case of the borehole pumps (also known as torpedo pumps), this is jointed onto the blue flat cable that is prewiredinto the pump.
Some of these systems have been in place for years and suffer no problems. The only thing with using HO7, is that it doesnt like chlorine, and after about 5 years, the cable degrades. Im sure that the degredation alters with the diluytion of the chlorine ect though.

is it H0RF7 rubber flex? ive never seen it sheilded though.

I dont think its exactly that but similar

Well, Im talking about most pumps i work with are the same cable every time be it borehole, sludge, raw water, anything submersible seems the same cable.

Flyght use a cable that the cores are individually screened, is that what you’ve seen?
And, not entirely sure the cable in-question was on a I think! Either a Flygt, waste water N-type 3231, Or some type of grundfos. Was a pretty hefty pump over 100KW if i remember correctly. But the cable may have been individually sheathed cores, i think vaguely, it did for sure at least 2 CPCs the U1,U2 etc. but can`t remeber if the cores were sheathed seperately onlythat a sheath or sheaths were present. Hmm.

Cheers for the quick replies guys!
