Subtle DIYer giveaways

I was thinking today that there are a few things you come across that aren't necessarily wrong but are a pretty certain giveaway to me that a job has been DIYed or probably bodged elsewhere by Kev the kitchen fitter or Pete the p***head from the pub.

It'll be interesting to see if everyone agrees with this one...

When they've used the knockout on the back of a dry lining box.

Downlights holes cut with a pad saw

I do mainly site work and it is quite common that I get onto one of my own jobs and look into my drill box and find that a holesaw (amongst other things) has been borrowed by one of the mates and not replaced; padsaw has rescued me a few times; can get a neat circle with a screw,a small piece of cardboard, a measuring tape and a pencil!

Nope, more than a mile in Milton Keynes, or if your names Robin Hood. About the same as a nautical one.

a nautical mile is approx 2000 yards as opposed to a country mile @ 1760 yards. a city mile is much less , about 25 yards. uber charge by the mile.
