Had to install an 80A 30ma RCD today to replace a Voltage operated trip. Customer wasn't interested in a new consumer unit. Had a fair bit of difficulty terminating the 25mm tails using the unsuitable enclosure I bought to house the RCD. Any advice on the best one to use for when an RCD is replacing an old, black, voltage operated trip?

Thanks

The old grey wylex trips with the top and bottom covers were great for this, HUGE terminals and covers which fix after connecting those pesky tails. If ever we take out one of these on a rewire etc we save them for emergency ELCB replacements.

Thnaks for your reply. Explained the problems she was likely to encounter and strongly advised a new board. Didn't want to know unfortunately. Those enclosures are ideal. It's a pity you can't just buy the enclosure without the DP switch.
