Hi guys.

Has anyone had any experince wiring up sunbeds? I got asked by a m8 of mine if I can install
one at his shop. I know they come in single or three phase, and for what i'v found out so for their might draw quite a lot of current.

I'm I right in saying- Wiring from c/u down to interlock isolator(cable size dependent on current ) and isolater dependent on phases:rolleyes:.Then to the sunbed. Any replys welcome but please go gental as only really worked domestic:eek:.

Hiya Mate
Not sure I can help you too much on the finer points but went & tested 3x walk in sunbeds at a Health Shop today with Boss...

Can't really help with cable sizes, breakers etc as was looking in on Test & like yourself am Domestic (but Trainee)
hope that helps in some way??

get your mate to give you the manufactures literature your at least have somewhere to start from. it usually tells you what they recommend to be used.

When I installed some of these a number of years ago, they had a plate with all the info on fixed to the unit, I had to get a three phase supply installed to accomodate the load because it was quite large
