has been published, replacing version 1.57.

Edit: And it has the Sanyo HIT N Series panels in it which the previous version did not.

Downloaded this yesterday and I'd say that they've definately improved it ,I liked the design suggestion/recommended inverter chart and cable calcs sections .

Been using it for over a week now  , (Sorry thought I was the last to know about it!) Vastly improved, still using PV*Sol for the layouts etc, though using SD2 for all my inverter sizing. Love the way it does multiple sized strings and multiple inverters for the larger projects.

Guess i'm the only one who it doesn;t work for :(

Installed .net 4 as requested, nope still says it is not there, even though it would not install till after i'd got the .net 4

Can anyone explain why sunny design 2.0 outputs a higher annual output kW for phono solar panels and lower for sanyo HIT both are 240 watt panels and both using the same inverter. Sanyo HIT will clearly output more than the phono solar. If sunny design is that inaccurate what is the point in using it ??

Does not happen to me. I had a design with strings of 8 panels and 5 panels with sanyo on a 4000tl and changed it to phono solar (24W panels) and it shows 2% less for the latter.

Bruce

The system is 2x strings of 8 240 watt HIT sanyo modules with SB 3300 inverter, if I substitute the sanyo for phono solar it shows that the phono solar modules output more annually ?? If you have time try it out, thanks.

Just did, I get 3400.4kWh for the Sanyo and 3328.20 kWh for the phono solar using the recommended inverter 4000TL

on the 3800 I get 3345.2kWh for the Sanyo and 3315.10 kWh for the phono solar, with a yield loss warning on the phono solar when using the 3800

Azimuth 0 Inclination 30, Location Birmingham

Hi thank you for that, not sure what I am doing different but I get 3299.70 for sanyo and slightly more for phono solar.
2x 240 sanyo HIT modules, SB 4000TL-20 inverter
Azimuth 0 Inclination 30, Location Birmingham.
Any ideas why mine is different, it looks strait forward. I choose the location and roof details, then the panel then the inverter, am I missing something ?? Thanks
