I'm a bit vague with this - excuse any mixed terminology!

The decorator at my workplace noticed that the bonding from the service pipes has been cut, and I've been asked about running a conductor from the pipes to the MET - I believe we're on a TT system and the physical running of the cable won't be a problem - we're on 400/230 and my question is - is 10mm an acceptable csa for the conductor? The runs won't be long, and we only have 10mm cable at the moment. Also - is it accpetable to run 2 cables side-by-side (EDIT: 2 cables to increase CSA, of course!)? I suspect not, but the question was asked and my honest answer is that I don't know!

Just fact-finding for now, any help greatly appreciated!

10mm is fine for your bonding cable on a TT installation. Parallel bonding cables is also fine, not that you'll need it, if using 10mm for your bonding cables!!
