Hi every one , I have been asked to quote for electrical Install on a timber building which will house a swimming pool and separate room to be used as an office/ gym.next to the proposed site is an agricultural building which has a mains feed supplied from an overhead supply which also feeds two houses on the site. the feed cable down to the meter in the building looks like some form of flat T&E which feeds to a meter within the building, then a two CU with rcd to feed skts and lights in the building. My questions are
1. will the supply company want to put a separate supply to the new bulding , from the pole its about 10m to the new building,
2. will the new supply have to be a TT setup with an earth rod .
At present I have no loadings for the new building ,waiting for client to spec the pool equipment.
Thanks

Pool equipment will be minimal, say around 10A max for a standard 8m X 4m pool (primarily the circulation pump and a couple of 12 volt underwater lamps etc). If the pool is to be electrically heated, then that 10 A will significantly increase!!

How can they expect you to give a quote until they have given you a spec?
