Basically i want to put a shower in my Ex's bathroom for her and the son, it has already been fitted with a pull cord ceiling switch by an electrician so all it needs is power/water running to the shower.
The plumbing is sorted but my problem is the wiring, the wall that i want to place the shower on is tiled and i dont want to have to remove and replace the tiles to chase in the wiring as i tiled it myself last year , i was thinking/hoping that i could go up through the ceiling over the room and down the surface of wall that the shower is to be fitted on...is there a shower that i can wired in with surface wiring with "U" drip or do they all have to be wired from the back?

Is this something that i should be tackling myself or do i need to get a Qualified electrician to do the wiring?

Thanks in advance

But in theory can a shower be surface wired?
Unfortunately i dont have the money to get an electrician in so i am going to have to do it myself
Even if i do get a sparkie in will he have to chase in the wiring?

Thanks for your replies

in mini trunking and seal cable entry with silicon. be advised that, as it is in a bathroom, irrespective of surface mounting the cable, it must be protected by a 30mA RCD. if i were doing the job, i would remove relevant tiles and re-fix after sinking cable. might have to buy a tile or 2 though.
