looks like an RCD. check what is printed on it, should be something lik 80A, 30mA or 100mA. either it's faulty or you have an earth leakage fault. either way, it requires investigation with ntest equipment to determine the nature of the problem. if you don't have access to a mft AND THE KNOWLEDGE TO USE ONE, I SUGGEST YOU GET A QUALIFIED SPARKS ON THE JOB.

sorry about the caps, unitentional sausage fingers

yh it does have those 80A etc on it but what is cause this is it my electrical stuff thank for advice and i not qualifiled will have to contact my landlord again as he was going to send his odd job man and he defenaly not quilified either is there any thing i can do to prevent it happing or check my appinaceies etc xx

only thing i can think of first is to unplug the fridge overnight and see if that cures the problem. unplug, not just switch off

I was thinking of an external lighting problem causing the trip but i assume the lights are on well before the tripping if it's dark at 5pm.

If you can't track the fault using general detective work you'll need to insulation test all the appliances and circuits in the house methodically. This would be a job for a qualified sparky.
