Not come across this before but a customer of mine who lives out in the sticks was recently the victim of a major power surge caused by a fire within the local sub-station. On top of all his electronic accessories being fried which he can and is claiming for he basically wants to be protected from this happening again.
Anybody know of a surge protection device that would protect his installation that can be fitted inline between the meter and his c/u's?
Also his supply his 3-phase as it was formerly a farm and his db's are the old Dorman Smith 15 series, I have told him before this that they need replacing with modern equivalents, not sure a modern DB would offer any greater protection but at least they would be RCD protected!
