Hi,

I am new to forum and not sure if I am in the right place, I have a question about cable selection about a motor. The question is below...

I am trying to find the maximum load current or a 3 phase motor 5.8kw,0.95pf, eff 90%

the supply is three phase 400v.

the calculation I thought was correct was Divide the 5800 watts by root 3, which is, times 400 (volts) times the efficiency of the motor if known 95, times the power factor of the motor 0.95??.

the figure I get is 614472.00 which I think is incorrect, does anyone have any advice?
