what size swa cable would be needed to run to a garage with a flat above. it will need to power 32A sockets, 6A lights and an 8.5kw shower. the garage and flat is only 15m away from the cu

depends on too many factors mate. how long is the run? is it going to be ran in insulation, or with lots of other cables? what equipment is going tobe in the garage. is this a domestic garage, or a commercial garage?

its a domestic garage, about 5 sockets downstairs and 5 up, it's less than 15m away from house. The garage and flat insulated and the swa burried

Depends what rating supply you have at the mo and how much of that you are using :S

he's got an 80A main fuse just supplying sockets and lights in house, no shower or immersion heater

Are you getting us to work it our because your being lazy? Or dont know how?
There are loads of factors to take into account as jonny has mentioned.
You need to see the job before you quote cable sizes.
If you want a quick answer 16mm 3 core XPLE.

Without looking at the regs il take a wild guess at a 10mm swa.

not beimg lazy, all the cable size's in the OSG i can find are for pvc flat twin and earth so dont know where to look.

sorry but what reference method would a burried cable be under, and for a shower, sockets and lights would be 54A whilst using diverisity i think.
