Swa csa??

OK, sorry to ask what might be an obvious question, but is the csa of the steel wire, forming SWA cable standard for each size of cable?

For example, does a 2.5mm SWA cable have 5mm csa of steel wire, and a 6mm SWA cable have 10mm csa of steel wire, or does it differ between manufacturers?

Does this make sense?

Have a look at the attached PDF in this thread. The csa of the armourings of various conductors are in the column headed - 'St'.

If I'm reading it correctly, for a 2 core 6mm PVC/SWA/PVC, the csa of the actual steel is 22mm, and the copper equivalent would be 9.75mm??
