I have just started a city and guilds Level 2 course and have been asked to do a simple exercise but for the life of me i just cant seem to work it out.

Any help would be great please find attached a copy of the exercise i have done that i think is right

Looks like you have the common round the wrong way with one of the strappers but i dont understand what it exactly is your trying to do?

2 way switching on 2 lights with one looped on and another switch not connected to the 2 way? if so you'll need an intimidate switch to get all switching together.

Its ment to be a one way and two way lighting cirucit. Thats what iam trying to make would that work?

Notice the difference in quality of diagram between your effort and that produced by Electricalserve
Half the battle of understanding the circuit can be overcome by being neat and clear with your diagrams

It wasn't meant as an attempt at sarcasm.far from it,sorry if it seemed so

Clear and well presented diagrams not only help any person to follow them much easier,but the practice will stay with you and help you in your training
If you want comment on your circuit make up,I will gladly do so,but it seems that a well respected member has already done so

If you have a look at this link it shows basic circuits
The first 2 pictures are 1 way and then 2 way light circuits

If you were to link the lives of each switch in the 2 pictures, then link the neutrals as well
It will portray the set up you require,the consumer unit not shown,will be supplying the Live and neutral
Lighting Circuit diagrams for 1,2 and 3 way switching


I cant operate computors well enough to construct my own,otherwise I would do a simple drawing myself and explain anything you were unsure of
