Has anyone seen these inverters:

GRID TIE INVERTER G83 CERT FOR SOLAR PANELS UP TO 260W | eBay

Apparently they are not double insulated so I'm guessing you'd need to run a 10mm earth to main earthing terminal. However, would that mean you have to earth the inverter or the array or both?

Thanks Jon

Scary stuff this

http://www.swea.nl/PDF/G83_certification.pdf

So maybe it does, though it clearly isn't IP65 !

And multiple inverters might be an issue as it was with the enecsys inverters.

Just your usual 3 pin kettle plug and shove it into the mains socket !

(Bit like the Soaldin 600 when you have to cut the plug off ! )

I'm having difficulty interpreting the earthing arrangement of the array. I don't think the inverter is isolated (double insulated). I have a PME system but cant understand the equipotential zone;

Equipotential Zone’ is defined as a zone in which exposed-conductive parts
and extraneous-conductive parts are maintained at substantially the same
potential by bonding, such that, under fault conditions, the differences in
potential between simultaneously accessible exposed and extraneous-conductive
parts will not cause electric shock. ‘Extraneous-conductive parts’ are conductive
parts liable to introduce a potential, generally earth potential, and not forming
part of the electrical installation, such as a water pipe, outside tap, a metal
downpipe – anything conductive that is connected to ‘Earth’ but not electrically
part of the system.

Do I have to connect 10mm earth to MET or Earth Spike?
