Hello guys,

I bought a little sensor to put on the ceiling of my loo as kids are always forgetting the lights on.

At the moment I have those ceiling pull cords that you can switch on/off.

The problem is that I don't know how to install that thing, it comes with a drawing but I have no idea how to connect that on a on off switch.

At my ceiling I have 3 cables, fase (phase? Live?), neutral and earth, which were used to connect to the switch.

Does anyone can help?
It will be much appreciated.

Gus

Welcome to the forum Gus.
Does your CU have RCD protection?
Where about are you fitting the sensor? Is it in the 'zones'. See pic below.
Does the sensor have a changeover switch or just a Normal Open switch? (as you intend to wire the sensor with the existing light switch.

what the f88k ,I no people want to save monies ,but op . can you imagine your are taking a dump and bl88y lights go out ,cant read a good book if the light goes out can you!

Not sure on the timer on these things but you can imagine how happy his missus would be if she decides to have a shower and 10 mins in the light go out and she's in pitch black.. :tearsofjoy:

Gus, if it is one cable with 3 cores at your switch you will not have a neutral. The black/blue will be switched live.
If you have a normal pir sensor you will need a live, a neutral and a switched live.

I don't think the OP likes us, as he hasn't replied...
Or maybe it's just me he dislikes.. :tearsofjoy:

Are you sure you have live neutral earth at the switch? The switch wouldn't work then, most likely blue is switched live. Most sensors j have fitted require a neutral have you got a diagram?
