I currently have a single pole switch with a black and red wire. The box has no other wires. I purchased a GE 45609 zwave switch to add to my vera2 network and ran into the switch having 4 terminals (load, line, ground, neutral). How do I go about wiring this new switch?

I can only find issues relating to the features of the wireless module. Right now I am only worried about getting the on/off switch to work. I just don't know where to plug in which cable. I can worry about connecting the switch to the vera at another time. Thank you for your replies.

As far as i'm aware to replace the single pole switch you use load and line but in the uk we use different terms, I think it will require a neutral to operate correctly but not too familiar with them hope that helps.

Hi Lobo: The Line terminal is the feed from the mains, the Load Terminal is the Output to your light fitting. Which wires go where is another matter, as far as I know you don't normally use Red / Black conductors in the USA for switch drops.
The Ground is obviously your Earth connection, the only problem you may have is that the switch won't work without a Neutral to it.
As has been said you really would be better contacting a good local Electrician or looking on 1 of the US Electrical Forums.
