In Australia, we use TN-C-S system. I have a switchboard feeds a pump in hazardous area. I knew for switchboard in Hazardous area it needs to connect to a TN-S system. So should I remove the MEN link in the switchboard? Could anyone help me with this matter? Thanks.

Do not remove the MEN link. Do not do anything except bring in a consultant with EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) certs to assess and advise on this job. If you do any work on HA gear are you willing to lay your license on the line that it's all to standard? Because you will be.

Removing the MEN link does not convert the supply to TN-S, it converts it to DANGER-OUS.
