Very difficult to have Ts & Cs that cover "everything"......what specifically do you do, work wise?

It also depends a lot on what your terms of trading actually are - I mean, how you work - payment up front, on completion, thirty days? Do you make good, decorate, fill chases, only run surface?

Certification - only on payment/on completion/whenever?

Hours of opening?

Country of operation (for law)?

The problem is, it's easy to grab a generic set of terms, but often that causes as many problems as you intend it to solve because it doesn't work for your business.

There's so many guys I know who've done this, and sent out some freshly downloaded set of terms, only to find themselves in hot water, as they've gone to demand payment on completion, and found out the terms they just gave out said thirty day terms. Or they turned up at ten and went at four, calling that a day's work when the terms say start at 8 and finish at 5.

Or the terms have said they'll "make good" that vaguely, and a customer has expected them to redecorate fully (and was held up in court that one).

I'm always happy to help where I can, but asking for a set of Ts& Cs without knowing what they're covering is a bit like asking for a new light and being surprised when a box of matches arrives.

Be more specific, and we'll see what we can do....

Oh - Merry Christmas to you too :)
