Teaching dog to howl

I taught my aussie pup to howl beginning the first week I got him. I personally enjoy our daily howling sessions but I'm surprised to learn most people dispise it. What gives? Do you not like your doggos inner wolf?

Who else has taught their dog to howl?

We taught one of ours to howl, but he isn't too bright. Takes him about 5 commands to howl, and then he keeps at it like the commands are all arriving in slow motion.

That may explain that duet effect when people cannot sing /play instrument in tune.
(Humans have been known to play that game with a full Moooooooon. )

Mine's a chi, when he's in the house I doubt the neighbours can hear him over their baby

My wife thinks she’s got our dog to howl “I love yoooou”, by howling back to it.

I think it’s dog talk for “ shut the hell up!”
