Temporary electrical supply certification

Hi all,

I have been asked if I can provide a Temporary electrical supply certificate for a festival beer tent where the supply is from a portable generator.

I think that this comes under BS7909, is this correct & if so what is required on the certificate?

Hi Guys,

Its been a while but from memory I would check the KVA rating of the genie is large enough to cope with the fluctuating loads of the chillers as well as lighting and pump power. The current draw on each leg needs noting to ensure even loadings and the Earth readings should be within limits.

I would check out chapter 54 & 55 of the regs For sizing of cables and readings

If I have missed anything I am sure others on here will correct me.
