Tension wire lighting - fixing to ceiling.

Will be fixing a lv tension light system in our kitchen.
Never fitted one before and not sure about fixing type.
Can the stand offs/tensioners be fitted to plasterboard only with proper fixings or are noggins above the board needed?

I wouldn't trust plasterboard to hold by itself. others may say different though.
is it fixed to ceiling or wall?
try to hit the studs/joists so you don't have to cut holes to get noggins in.

Fixing to ceiling not wall. No plasterboard up yet but does have 75mm kingspan fixed over joists, that would all need removing to get moggins in, no access from above.

I doubt just plaster board will hold. The tensioners pull a fair few kilos. I've always chemical anchored the eye bolts into the brick or block work.

last one I did couldnt fix through wall had to span uprights with 2x2 timber chamfered n shaped at ends to take bad look away Plasterboard wouldnt take the tension

the Hammering flat of a lumpy carpet n missing budgie comes to mind

nothing worse than pulling up a floorboard n the ruddy cat that went down the living room comes flying out to meet you "New underwear please!!"
