Terminating T+E correctly

Sorry for the simple question but I'm currently learning....When, for example, I'm removing a light fitting and I want to terminate the T+E feeding it should I be terminating the conductors with line taps?

When connected a joint or terminating an end of cable I would use a juction box.
The box must conceal all live parts completely.
So a connector block is not sufficient in itself.

I'm not sure what you mean as line tabs

You also need to make sure the mechanical outer protection is enclosed! Line taps will only be acceptible within an enclosure.
