Hi all, I am in the process of starting up on my own, and need some help and advice on what to include in my terms and conditions, for quotes and invoice any help would be most gratefull, thanks.

t& c's should include when you require payment, e.g. on completion, stage payments. 30 days ( usual for business clients, ) limitations, eg any additional work to repair/rectify faults found say when doing a CU change, whether or not client or you are supplying materials, what guarantee you are giving. sure there,s more, someone else can add.

There was a standard terms and conditions link some time ago, but they may have been at another forum.............I'm getting old and I get confused easily :(

You will also need some form of contract for somebody to sign and accept the T&C's

Your Ts and Cs are a little out of date my friend.....specifically interest on late payments.

The new thinking is not to set contractual rates, but instead to refer to statutory rates, which are guaranteed if it comes to court.

That's calculated using reference rates, plus 8% daily outstanding. Currently about 8.5% - there's a link here to a calculator, and while it talks about contractual rates too, your accountant will probably also advise moving to Statutory interest claims.
