Hi All
If your brief is to test and carry out all remedials as you deem nessesary do you test and carry out repairs when testing is complete, or repair as you go, IE if at the start there is no main bonding conductor would you remedy that then carry on, the reason I ask is I have anumber of properties to inspect and repair as required and I dont want to get bogged down in paperwork noting faults, coding them, then writing out another page 2 when the repairs are done. is it in order to compile a maintenance and repair log with all relevant tests results for the client, would this stand up as a legal document.

Do the report as normal, and just attach minor works to show that all code 1 and 2s have been rectified. To fix things as you go would be a pain in the bum for me, as you're never sure what materials you may need.

I agree one thing I hate is having to clamber around attics and the like then have climb down again go to the car and fetch something, your idea is sound. I think thats the approach I will adopt cheers

As per above from Dave. Swap to a 63A outlet and problem goes away. What gets plugged into it is not part of an inspection.
