What are the requirements for getting your meter recalibrated and certified? I am with the NIC and I think they want it done annually although not sure.

Will probably make up a basic test box myself for a tenner and use a 'known' socket for the loop impedence.

I also use the old noggin to tell me if a reading makes sense which gives me peace of mind the my meter is ok on a day to day basis.
 
You should send your meter off annually but I know several years ago the NIC wanted to see the monthly self test results for your meter calibration, thats why we have one of these boxes.
Anyone need one?
 
I dont use them.

The only requirement is that they are calibrated once a year, although the NIC do say that if you keep a monthly check on your meters with a log, then this isnt necessary.

Yes ive heard this before from a few people ! hope so save me loads of cash getting all mine cal'd
