I have a fluke 1652 with flukes standard test leads which are not that good can anyone recommend a good set of test leads?

what dont you like about them??

i have the 1653 and i think the lead with the button built into it is ideal.

you can also change from probes, clips quite easily.

my only problem with them is getting them into the terminal of mk fused spurs which is a nightmare, but i have found a way round that now.

My 1653 is about 4 years old with Robin marked leads. I have real trouble with varying zero results when using the croc clips and the red one has gone to ---- with a break some where in the lead. I need to find a new set as don't like having faulty kit. Any ideas? The push button probe is however a life saver. I discovered today when trying to test an MK fused spur that the shroud on the probe is removeable. (only took 4 years!!)

I have the same problem with my fluke leads.

I bought a set of these that go straight on the end of the unfused lead when the shroud is removed.
Works a treat for continuity and IR tests, but still have to mess around with the fused part for loop testing.
Generally the problem is poor contact of fused part and therefore high readings or failure to zero.

I totally agree, I've had mine for 2 years without any real issues
(except getting into terminal)

Please tell us/me, its a pain in the backside trying to do them, so if you have a good tip I would love to here it.

I've just bought a new fluke 1652 and the leads supplied don't have a fuse in them which is far better as its a simple push fit now no more messing around unscrewing croc clips etc.

also just bought a kit for 16.66 to build my own 50m wander lead from rapid online :0
